BLOOMSDALE LONG STANDING SPINACH

Bloomsdale long standing spinch (spinacia oleracea), open pollination, annual. 50 days. This spinach seeds came from Philadelphia in the late 19th century by D. Landreth & Sons Seed Company. The crimped deep-green leaves of this spreading savoy-type are broad and fast-maturing. They provide bright flavor with tender leaves for sautee, bake or eat fresh! Appropriate for Zone 5 and 6.

300 seeds/packet.

Begin sowing in early spring as soon as the ground can be worked. For baby leaf: Sow 3 - 5 seeds/inch in rows at least 2" apart. Clip small leaves in 3 - 5 weeks. For a continuous supply, sow every 7 days. For bunching and full size: sow 10 seeds/ft., 1/2" deep, rows 12-18" apart.
