BOSTON PICKLING CUCUMBER

Boston pickling cucumber (cucumis sativus), heirloom, annual. 50--60 days. Smooth surfaced, bright-green, 3-inch fruits have black spines and blunt ends. Very high yields. Originating in 1877, Boston Pickling is the most popular cucumber to be pickled. Appropriate for Zone 5 and 6.

20 seeds/packet.

DIRECT SEEDING: Wait until soil is warm, at least 70°F. Sow 2 seeds/feet, 1" deep, in rows 6' apart. Thin to 12" apart.
