Ginger ale is the best drink to relieve your thirsty in this hot summer. In addition, beneficial bacteria is a plus! Make your own at home!
Makes 2 quarts
¾ cup ginger, peeled and finely chopped or grated
½ cup fresh lime juice
¼–½ cup coconut sugar or raw cane sugar
2 teaspoons sea salt
¼ cup whey
2 quarts filtered water
1. Place all the ingredients in two quart-size mason jars. Stir well and cover with
the fermenting lid tightly.
2. Leave at room temperature for 2–3 days before transferring to the refrigerator.
It will keep several months well chilled.
3. To serve, strain into a glass.
